 - Elevating Together

Dr. Tiffany Perry-Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Supervisor Approved) in the State of Virginia and Texas. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor, and the founder of "The Elevated Mind Collective," a private practice offering culturally responsive therapy to individuals and couples, clinical supervision for pre-licensed therapists, education and training, and consultation. Her services are grounded in a relational-cultural framework and tailored through an integrative lens to meet the individual needs of clients and supervisees.

 

With over a decade of professional experience, Dr. Tiffany Perry-Wilson has worked across clinical, community, and crisis-response settings. Her background includes providing trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both outpatient and virtual platforms. She is deeply committed to honoring the intersecting identities and lived experiences of those she serves, approaching each relationship with empathy, collaboration, and cultural humility.

 

Dr. Perry-Wilson's early work as an IDCM Case Manager with Baptist Child & Family Services gave her a strong foundation in disaster response and crisis management. In this role, she led service delivery efforts across the U.S. and its territories following natural disasters, coordinating care for diverse and vulnerable populations. She supervised case management teams, developed standard operating procedures, liaised with government and nonprofit agencies, and ensured equitable access to resources during high-stress, time-sensitive operations.

 

This experience solidified her capacity for leadership under pressure and deepened her understanding of trauma on a systemic and individual level. Her leadership continued to flourish in clinical settings, where she has since led trauma-informed programs, provided clinical supervision, and collaborated with community stakeholders to expand access to care.

 

Earning a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at The George Washington University, Dr. Perry-Wilson integrates research, teaching, and practice. Her scholarly work centers on anti-oppressive frameworks and the lived experiences of African diasporic queer womxn of color navigating spirituality and wellness, effective and decolonial approaches to implementing religion and spirituality into counseling studies, the integration of decolonial and anti-caste approaches in academia, research, and clinical settings.
